Villa Helidona

   Private Swimming Pool
     The villa's pool size is 13 m x 6 m. The pool’s depth is 1,35m on  the shallow end and 2,20 m on the deep end. One of the largest  pools you can find in a private villa holiday rental in Crete.

     Hours of fun await you. Children just love the pool. It is really beautiful and ideal for lap swimming. You can dive into this pool  without any hesitation. Even enjoy swimming in the evening hours for the pool is automatically lit at night.

•   Pool Side Shaded Terrace
     One of the favorite spots for all guests is the villa's large terrace.  The large dining table is just right for poolside breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bamboo garden chairs and table sitting arrangement is a quiet niche in the shade overlooking the beautiful pool. The barbeque is ready for "souvlaki" and lamb chops or whatever you decide to grill.

   Pool - Terrace Area
     You enter the terrace area from the master bedroom or the living      room. Trees, bushes and flowers surround the pool area.  We guarantee absolute privacy for sunbathing and swimming.  Sun beds and hammock

   Garden - Orchard Area
     A few stone steps lead up from the pool area to the garden and  orchard. There are different fruit trees; e.g. orange, lemon, pear just to mention a few. You can also pick ripe tomatoes from the small vegetable garden or any ripe fruits on the trees (all organic).
     From the back of the garden, you overlook the rolling hills of the  countryside. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Lasithi  mountain range rising up into the sky in a distance. 

   3 Bedrooms + Sleeping Gallery  Master Bedroom - Main House
     A large bedroom overlooking the pool/ terrace area.  Traditional charm combined with elegance. Your bed is  a Queen plus size (1,60x2,10m)
•   Sleeping Gallery - Main House
     A wooden stairs leads up to gallery from the dining room. The wooden gate and partition 1,10m high provide privacy. Two      lovely twin beds (1,00x2,03m) in a unique and charming old world setting.
   Two Inter-Connected Bedrooms - West Wing Upper Level

     This is a separate annex. An original stone stairs leads up from inner courtyard to the bedrooms. Both rooms overlook in the      inner courtyard.
     These bedrooms are ideal for your children. They feel like they have their own private space. The first bedroom has
two
twin      beds (1,00x2,03m). The second bedroom with a queen plus size bed (1,60x2,03m) is on a slightly higher level and three wooden steps lead up to it.

     Main House - right next to the Master Bedroom with bathtub/shower, built-in washbasin with large mirror and WC.
     West Wing - entrance from inner courtyard with shower, built-in washbasin/mirror, WC, and washing machine

   Living Room - Main House
     A large room with a very comfortable sofa and two armchairs. A combination of modern furnishing and antiques with wonderful art work on all walls enhancing the beauty and elegance of this very special room. Large French door windows lead out to terrace. Fireplace,TV, VCR, Stereo, and CD player.

•   Dining Room - Lower Sitting Room - Main House
     From the inner courtyard, you step right into this lovely large room. The feeling is breathtaking - the high ceiling of the old traditional building style in Crete and the combination of three rooms in one: the dining room, the lower sitting room and the sleeping gallery is overwhelming.
     Old family heirlooms from another era magically overlook the traditional Cretan furnishings and antiques. An oriental flair and the lifestyle of passed centuries invite you into this very private and truly special home.

•   Kitchen - West Wing Lower Level
     You enter the kitchen from the Inner Courtyard or from the dining room. A cozy room with original Cretan traditional style decorations, like the impressive large fireplace with many artifacts.
    The kitchen is well-equipped with electric cooking range and oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer, toaster and coffee machine. You will find all necessary kitchen utensils and spices you need for cooking.

•   Inner Courtyard
     As you step into the secluded inner courtyard, you know Villa Helidona is a very special holiday home. Bougainvillea and honeysuckle cover the villa's old stone walls. A bitter orange tree is right next to the built-in stone benches and large stone table. Just the right place for your breakfast in the morning shade. An old style stone oven and an old covered well add to the magical atmosphere.
